Aritzia Boosts Annual Outlook Following Robust U.S. Sales Growth

Canadian fashion house Aritzia Inc. has officially increased its financial guidance for the 2027 fiscal year, citing exceptional consumer interest and strong performance in the United States. The company’s decision to lift its outlook follows a highly successful second quarter, where net revenue saw a substantial increase compared to the previous year. This growth trajectory has been largely fueled by a combination of aggressive digital expansion and a growing footprint of physical boutiques south of the border.

During the second quarter, Aritzia reported a significant jump in net income, which more than doubled compared to the same period last year. A major contributor to this financial success was the 60% net revenue growth observed in the U.S. market, which remains the company's primary engine for expansion. Additionally, the brand’s digital channels experienced a notable acceleration, with online revenue climbing by 68% as customers increasingly utilized the company’s mobile app and personalized web platforms.

Management attributed the positive results to a mix of optimal inventory management and strategic investments in marketing and real estate. By focusing on high-traffic locations and enhancing the digital shopping experience, Aritzia has managed to maintain momentum despite a competitive retail landscape. The company also benefited from a one-time boost in the form of tariff refunds, which further bolstered its bottom line during the quarter.

Looking ahead, Aritzia has updated its full-year revenue forecast to a range of C$4.78 billion to C$4.88 billion, representing a projected growth of up to 32% over the previous fiscal year. To support this continued expansion, the retailer plans to open over a dozen new boutiques throughout the remainder of the year, with a heavy emphasis on increasing its presence in key American cities. These efforts are designed to solidify the brand's position as a leading player in the global apparel market.
