Stellantis Reports Progress in Turnaround Strategy Through Quality Focus

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has announced that the company’s ongoing efforts to stabilize its business are yielding tangible results. Central to this recovery is the implementation of approximately 80 'war rooms'—specialized task forces that bring together experts from engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain sectors to rapidly identify and resolve vehicle quality concerns. These collaborative hubs are a cornerstone of the automaker's broader FaSTLAne 2030 plan, which aims to modernize operations and restore profitability.

In addition to these quality-focused initiatives, the company is aggressively pursuing a Value Creation Program to streamline expenses. Filosa confirmed that the firm is on track to achieve at least 40% of its targeted €6 billion in run-rate efficiencies by the end of this year. These cost-cutting measures have already begun to show impact, with the company reporting a significant improvement in its financial performance compared to the previous year.

During the third quarter, Stellantis reported an adjusted operating income of €256 million, a figure that surpassed analyst expectations. While the company continues to navigate a challenging market environment—particularly in Europe where competition remains intense—management has reaffirmed its full-year guidance. This stability is bolstered by a commitment to product innovation, with the company investing heavily in new models across its core brands, including Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat.

Looking ahead, the automaker is focused on achieving positive industrial free cash flow by 2027. Filosa emphasized that this goal is a critical priority for the organization as it works to move past a period of financial volatility. By combining artificial intelligence and cross-departmental collaboration with disciplined fiscal management, Stellantis is positioning itself to regain market momentum and improve its long-term competitive standing.
