Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders in a letter written from jail have strongly criticized the government.

PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Ejaz Chaudhry, Yasmin Rashid and Sarfraz Cheema, in a letter conveyed to media through their lawyer from jail, criticized the government on inflation, health, education, agriculture and law and order situation.

In the letter, PTI leaders said that rising petrol prices have created complete chaos, while for 42 percent of people living below the poverty line, even getting one meal a day has become difficult.

The leaders said that malnutrition among children, lack of adequate medical facilities, non-availability of medicines in hospitals and the condition of the basic health system has made life extremely difficult for the people of Punjab.

Criticizing the attitude of the Sharif family in the letter, it was said that in such circumstances it is difficult to understand their behavior and they consider themselves kings. PTI leaders said that a luxurious aircraft has been purchased for the Chief Minister of Punjab and the public is still waiting for an explanation as to why their money was spent on the purchase of such an aircraft.

It was further said in the letter that people do not even have food to eat, one crore children are out of schools and clean water is available only to the elite. The leaders said that the agriculture sector, which supports the economy, has been excluded from the subsidy given on fuel. Agriculture has been completely destroyed while the sugar cartel is now engaged in exporting sugar.

Describing the law and order situation as the worst, PTI leaders said that incidents of child sexual abuse are coming to light on a large scale. Referring to the Senate Committee report in the letter, it was said that 80 percent of cases related to child sexual abuse have been reported in Punjab.

The leaders said that the lavish lifestyle of the current government reflects that a complete gulf has been created between the government and the people.

In the letter, describing the treatment meted out to the elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as suspicious, inappropriate and condemnable, it was said that it will further increase the sense of alienation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PTI leaders said in the letter that "As you sow, so shall you reap" and in the end prayed that may Allah help to get out of this difficult time.
