Valencia CF has officially entered a new chapter in its history following the announcement of a significant ownership partnership. A consortium known as Pitchwise Holdings has acquired a 42% stake in the La Liga club, purchasing the shares from the existing majority owner, Meriton Holdings. This strategic transaction values the entire football club at an enterprise value of €1.25 billion, or approximately $1.4 billion.

As part of the agreement, the club will receive an immediate €100 million capital injection. This fresh funding is earmarked for direct investment into the organization, providing a substantial financial boost to support both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the club's broader operational needs. The deal underscores a commitment to long-term growth and stability for the historic Spanish side.

Pitchwise Holdings is led by experienced sports executives Ann Rodriguez and Corey Woolfolk. The consortium is notably backed by prominent figures in the global investment community, including Henry Kravis and George Roberts, the co-founders of the private equity giant KKR. This backing brings a blend of sports management expertise and institutional financial strength to the club’s ownership structure.

Despite the significant shift in minority ownership, Meriton Holdings will maintain its position as the majority shareholder. Kiat Lim is set to continue his role as president of Valencia CF, working alongside the new partners to steer the club forward. The leadership team expressed optimism that this collaboration will foster a new era of success for the team and its supporters.

The transaction remains subject to standard closing conditions, including the necessary regulatory approvals. Once finalized, the partnership aims to leverage the combined resources and strategic vision of the new ownership group to enhance the club's competitive standing in professional football.
