Tennis Victoria Premier League Unveils Major 2026 Transformation

The Tennis Victoria Premier League is set for a significant evolution in 2026, moving away from its traditional club-centric model to a high-stakes State vs State format. This revamped competition will showcase four representative teams—Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland—battling for supremacy during a single, action-packed weekend scheduled for December 11–13, 2026. The event aims to create fresh rivalries and provide a clear representative pathway for the nation's top tennis players.

To elevate the standard of play, the league has secured a strategic partnership with PlayReplay, a leader in sports technology. This collaboration will introduce World Tennis Silver-certified Electronic Line Calling (ELC) to all primary competition venues. By integrating this precision technology, the league intends to ensure fair play while providing players and spectators with a more professional, data-driven experience.

The 2026 edition is designed to attract the country's best, featuring a mix of Grand Slam champions, Davis Cup stars, and emerging elite talent. High-profile figures, including Casey Dellacqua, have already been confirmed for leadership roles, underscoring the prestige of the new format. The competition will also offer a substantial $100,000 prize pool, further cementing its status as a premier showcase for Australian team tennis.

Beyond the on-court action, the integration of PlayReplay’s analytics platform will offer deeper insights into player performance. This move aligns with Tennis Victoria’s broader goal of bridging the gap between grassroots development and the professional circuit. While the structure is now state-based, the league remains committed to honoring the local clubs that continue to support the development of elite athletes across the country.
