SinoPac Securities Enhances Market-Making with Bloomberg ETOMS
Taiwanese firm upgrades electronic trading infrastructure to streamline USD corporate bond operations.

SinoPac Securities, a prominent full-service financial institution in Taiwan, has officially integrated Bloomberg’s ETOMS execution management solution into its existing trading infrastructure. This strategic move is designed to bolster the firm's electronic market-making capabilities, specifically focusing on its USD corporate bond business. By adopting this technology, the firm aims to achieve greater operational efficiency and responsiveness in a competitive global market.
The implementation of ETOMS works in tandem with the firm’s prior adoption of Bloomberg’s Trade Order Management Solutions (TOMS). Together, these tools allow SinoPac to automate critical workflows, including the pricing, quoting, and execution of trades. This automation enables the firm to distribute electronic quotes and address client requests in real time, significantly reducing manual intervention.
SinoPac has maintained a long-standing relationship with Bloomberg, having utilized its Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) and TOMS since 2021. These systems have historically supported the firm’s trade ticketing, profit and loss monitoring, and comprehensive risk management for its derivatives and bond portfolios. The addition of ETOMS represents a natural evolution of this partnership, extending the firm's reach into more advanced electronic trading environments.
With this deployment, SinoPac has achieved a notable milestone as the first securities firm based in Taiwan to act as a bond market maker through Bloomberg’s ALLQ function. This development underscores the ongoing trend of electronification within Asia’s fixed income markets, as firms seek to improve liquidity and execution speed. Leadership at both organizations highlighted that this collaboration is essential for serving local clients while simultaneously capturing new cross-border investment opportunities.
