This mission could be an important step for Pakistan towards scientific progress and new possibilities for future

On 25th November 2026, Pakistan's first astronaut will depart for space journey from China's space center.

For this important mission, two pilots of Pakistan, Muhammad Zeeshan Ali and Khurram Dawood, have been given special space training in China after rigorous medical, psychological and technical tests. One pilot out of them will be finally selected for this space journey, who will represent Pakistan on China's space station.

This astronaut will not just visit space, but will also perform scientific experiments there. These experiments include biotechnology and life-related research, which can help in understanding issues like food shortage and climate change in future.

Space cooperation between Pakistan and China started in February 2025 through agreement regarding training of astronauts and space mission. Now this same cooperation is bringing Pakistan's dream of human space travel closer to reality.

Surprising thing is that Pakistan's aim is not just to reach space but Pakistan has also set target of reaching moon by 2035. Both countries are also working on a Pakistani-made lunar rover, which is planned to be sent to moon in future through China's Chang'e 8 mission.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal also announced to establish Pakistan's first space museum in Narowal University, so that passion for science and space research can be created among youth.

This mission of 25th November is not just a space journey for Pakistan, but can be an important step towards scientific progress and new possibilities for future.
