Lahore; Basant date changed, new dates fixed in March 2027

Government of Punjab had earlier announced 10-day Basant from January 29 to February 7, which has been changed

Punjab cabinet has approved summary to change Basant date, under which Basant in Lahore will be celebrated from March 12 to 14, 2027.

Sources told Express News that after approval of Punjab cabinet, it has been decided to celebrate Basant in Lahore on March 12, 13 and 14, 2027.

Sources said that summary to change Basant date in Lahore had been sent to provincial cabinet, which has been approved and under it new dates of March 2027 have been fixed.

Sources said that Government of Punjab has approved change in Basant schedule in Lahore, Deputy Commissioner Lahore had sent summary to Home Department for change in Basant date and Home Department Punjab had sent summary to change Basant date to provincial cabinet.

Sources said that Punjab cabinet has approved summary regarding new dates of Basant in Lahore, earlier Government of Punjab had announced to celebrate 10-day Basant from January 29 to February 7, 2027, however after change in previous schedule of Basant now celebrations will be held on March 12, 13 and 14, 2027.

According to sources, after approval of new dates of Basant, Basant festival in Lahore will be in March 2027.
