Tennis sensation Jannik Sinner has officially announced a major restructuring of his coaching personnel. Following a highly successful tenure that yielded five Grand Slam titles and a stint at the top of the world rankings, the Italian athlete is parting ways with his longtime mentor, Darren Cahill. To fill the vacancy, Sinner has recruited Swedish coach Magnus Norman, who is set to join the team next month.

Norman, a former world No. 2 player, brings a wealth of experience to the camp, most notably recognized for his previous work guiding Stan Wawrinka to three Grand Slam victories. He will collaborate with Simone Vagnozzi, who remains a core member of Sinner’s coaching setup. The transition marks the end of a productive partnership with Cahill, who joined the team in 2022 and played a pivotal role in Sinner’s rise to global prominence.

Reflecting on the change, Sinner expressed deep gratitude for the guidance he received from the Australian coach. He highlighted the mutual trust and dedication that defined their professional relationship, noting that the achievements they shared were the realization of his childhood dreams. Cahill, in turn, praised Sinner’s character, describing the opportunity to work with the young champion as a distinct honor and a memorable experience.

Currently, Sinner is focused on his recovery from a knee injury that has kept him off the court since his victory at Wimbledon this past July. Having concluded his 2026 season early, the 25-year-old is now looking toward the future. With the addition of Norman, Sinner aims to maintain his competitive edge and continue his development as he prepares for his return to the professional tour in 2027.
