Hope Maulana Fazlur Rehman will support national efforts against terrorism, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

Instead of sacrificing serious national issue like terrorism to political allegations, there is urgent need to play serious role for its elimination

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that hope Maulana Fazlur Rehman will support national efforts against terrorism.

In statement issued on X, he said that linking imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to capture of mineral resources by Maulana Fazlur Rehman is extremely regrettable. Instead of sacrificing serious national issue like terrorism to political allegations, there is urgent need to play serious role for its elimination.

He said that real priority of federal government is protection of people and establishment of peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a senior politician and he himself is also aware of damages of terrorism, therefore it is expected from him that he will fully support ongoing national efforts against terrorism.

He further said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf which ruled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 13 years will have to answer for its performance and deteriorating law and order situation in province because people want peace, security and development, not political conflicts.

Federal Minister said officers and jawans of Pakistan Armed Forces are continuously sacrificing their lives for peace of homeland, therefore at such time instead of political blame game, there is need to adopt national unity and joint strategy against terrorism.
