Four Dead, 15 Injured in Series of Halloween Shootings in Dallas
Authorities are investigating three separate, apparently unrelated shooting incidents that occurred in the Deep Ellum entertainment district.

A festive Halloween night in Dallas turned into a scene of tragedy as multiple shootings erupted in the popular Deep Ellum neighborhood. According to local law enforcement, four individuals were killed and at least 15 others sustained injuries during a violent span of roughly 75 minutes early Sunday morning. The incidents, which took place in a district known for its vibrant nightlife, music venues, and restaurants, have left the community in shock.
Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux confirmed that the violence unfolded across three distinct locations. The first incident was reported around 12:20 a.m. near the 2600 block of Elm Street, followed by a second shooting on the 2600 block of Main Street at approximately 1:05 a.m. A third shooting occurred shortly after at 1:35 a.m. on the 200 block of S. Crowdus Street. While investigators are actively reviewing surveillance footage and pursuing leads, they currently have no evidence suggesting the three scenes are connected.
The casualty count remains fluid, as officials noted that several victims transported themselves to area hospitals for treatment. Dallas Fire-Rescue assisted by transporting 11 patients, but the total number of those affected may rise as the investigation continues. Police sources indicated that at one of the locations, a suspect allegedly made verbal threats to open fire before the violence broke out, resulting in at least three of the fatalities at that specific site.
City officials have condemned the violence, with Mayor Eric L. Johnson and City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert expressing their condolences to the victims and their families. Authorities have emphasized that public safety remains a top priority and are working to identify and apprehend those responsible. As of the latest reports, police are continuing to search for suspects while examining the circumstances that led to the tragic events of the holiday weekend.
