Fazlur Rehman meets PTI leadership, agreement on proposal of Charter of Democracy

In this regard we are going to call All Parties Conference, consideration ongoing to hold APC on November 9 and 10, Asad Qaiser

Islamabad: Maulana Fazlur Rehman had an important meeting with PTI leadership and presented proposal of Charter of Democracy on which PTI agreed, APC will be called soon in this regard.

According to Express News, Maulana Fazlur Rehman along with delegation met Leader of Opposition in Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. Meeting discussed current political situation of country, constitutional and democratic affairs and mutual cooperation of opposition parties.

Participants strongly condemned imposition of emergency and governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Participants termed emergency and governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as against sovereignty of people and democratic principles.

Participants expressed deep concern over arrests of arrested Chief Minister, Speaker Provincial Assembly and members of National Assembly of PTI. Opposition leaders demanded immediate release of political prisoners and protection of political freedoms.

In meeting, detailed consultation was held regarding holding of All Parties Conference, participants supported Maulana Fazlur Rehman's stance of new Charter of Democracy.

Participants agreed that to get out of current national crises, all political parties should move towards a new Charter of Democracy, participants termed proposed All Parties Conference as an important initial step towards new Charter of Democracy.

PTI delegation included Barrister Gohar, Asad Qaiser, Barrister Ali Zafar, Amir Mahmood Dogar, Zain Qureshi and Akhundzada Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai, while JUI (F) delegation included Senator Kamran Murtaza, Mir Yunus Zahri and Usman Badini.

Important meeting of PTI leadership

After meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, important meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership was held in which Maulana Fazlur Rehman's proposal was discussed in detail, later PTI agreed to Maulana Fazlur Rehman's proposal of Charter of Democracy.

After meeting, talking to media, Chairman PTI Barrister Ali Zafar said that what will be conditions in Charter of Democracy, it will be prepared with consultation, right now Maulana Sahib has given proposal of Charter of Democracy, we are consulting on it.

He said that we believe there should be peace in country, for peace we will take every stakeholder along, we are consulting on their proposal, after thinking and consulting we will support them.

In media talk, Asad Qaiser said that government has completely failed on economic, administrative and governance fronts, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has proposed Charter of Democracy, in this regard we are going to call All Parties Conference, date is not yet confirmed, consideration is ongoing to call on November 9 and 10.
