Bayern Munich Manager Vincent Kompany Hospitalized Following Training Ground Collapse

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany was rushed to the hospital on Friday after suffering a collapse while observing a training session for the club's reserve team at the Säbener Straße facility. The 40-year-old manager, who had reportedly been battling a viral infection in recent days, required immediate medical attention and was transported for further care.

In an official statement, the Bundesliga club confirmed that Kompany is currently undergoing comprehensive medical examinations. While the club has not provided specific details regarding his diagnosis, they emphasized that he will remain under professional supervision for the time being to ensure his health and recovery.

Club officials have moved quickly to adjust operations in the manager's absence. Bayern Munich announced that the coaching staff will assume full responsibility for all training sessions and upcoming match-related duties until further notice. The team is scheduled to face Freiburg this Sunday, and the staff will oversee preparations for that fixture.

Max Eberl, the club’s board member for sport, expressed that the organization's primary focus is on the manager's well-being. He stated that the club is committed to providing Kompany with all the necessary support and the time required to recover fully. The football community has expressed concern for the Belgian coach, who had previously been seen on the bench during recent matches despite his ongoing health struggles.
